Team Member Spotlight
Raylynn Q. – Portland Branch

When did you start working at Ironworkers USA Credit Union?
August 2021. I’ve been a member since 2006 – my husband is an ironworker Apprentice instructor at Local 29.

Why did you want to work at Ironworkers USA Credit Union?
I love what they’re about! Since I’ve been a member, Ironworkers USA Credit Union has always taken care of our needs and allowed us to do fun things for the families. We’ve gotten to know the employees over the years and created a bond. When the opportunity to work here came up, I jumped on it!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I love to volunteer – which is how I got attached to these women that I work with at Ironworkers USA Credit union!

What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a mom and wife. It’s hectic sometimes to get my laundry done, but hanging out with the family is pretty important. Reading, crafting, taking the rigs out to get dirty and other outdoor activities are always on the list when there is time.

Where is your favorite place to vacation or travel?
My favorite place is really the Pacific coast. It’s only an hour and a half drive to see the waves, hear them crashing, and seagulls. I can find peace there.

What is special about the Credit Union?
The way the members are taken care of. It’s not always pretty when we are confronted with a situation that has interrupted the member’s day. The goal is to get the situation resolved and hopefully make their day better. We are able to personalize the banking experience by member needs from loans to checking and savings options. We have to know the members for this to be possible. By listening to what they say and hearing their stories, we get to put a “face” to the member. It’s like one, huge, crazy Ironworkers family!

If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room, what would you choose and why?
To be honest, either Buckcherry’s “Crazy B” or Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.” 😉  The why – both songs came into my life in a big way during some crazy times that I survived.

If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why?
I would have the ability to clone myself so that it would be possible to get all my stuff done and be able to the fun stuff too.

Thanks, Raylynn for being such an amazing part of this team! We can’t do it without you!
