Zelle Is Fast, So Are Scammers
Zelle sends money fast, and scammers take advantage of that speed. A scam may begin with a text or call that appears to come from your financial institution. The caller claims there is a suspicious Zelle transfer and tells you to send money to “yourself” to reverse it or protect your account. Don’t do it.
Ironworkers USA Credit Union will never ask you to send money through Zelle to reverse a charge or protect your money. We will also never ask for your one-time verification code.
Only send money to people you know and trust. Be suspicious of unexpected requests, verify them using contact information you know is real, and never let anyone pressure you to act quickly. Zelle payments can be difficult to recover once sent.
