Because you deserve the best! Our staff is Union just like you. We understand the unique needs and challenges of Ironworkers and go above and beyond to ensure that our members receive the best products and services available.

Simply by opening an account, you buy a share in Ironworkers USA Credit Union and become an owner. This ownership share gives you a voice and a vote on how YOUR Credit Union operates. As a non-profit institution, we return our profits back to our owner-members by offering better service, better rates, lower fees, and special discounts. It’s a simple philosophy of “people helping people.”

No. Once a member always a member.

Credit unions are non-profit financial cooperatives where the members have agreed to save their money in a facility they own and operate and to make their savings available for low-interest loans. The interest from these loans is used to pay the credit union’s operating expenses. After paying expenses, meeting required reserves and providing services, the credit union returns all remaining earnings to the member-owners in the form of dividends and new services.

A bank’s priority is to put money in the pockets of their investors – not their customers. Unlike banks, credit unions are not in business to make a profit. We return our profits back to you, our members.

HELOC

A HELOC is a line of credit secured by your home. As with a credit card, you can borrow as needed up to an approved credit limit. A HELOC’s term includes a draw period (the time frame in which you can borrow money from the line of credit) followed by a repayment period (amount of time in which you have to pay off your loan, during which you can no longer borrow funds from your line of credit).

You have the ability to borrow money whenever you need it up to your maximum credit limit. You only pay interest on the amount that is borrowed. Unlike a traditional loan where you receive a lump sum amount and pay interest on the entire loan amount.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Your Ironworkers USA Credit Union account numbers
  • Estimated value of the property
  • Gross (before taxes and other deductions) monthly income
  • Original purchase price and purchase date of property
  • Date home was built
  • Information on any liens that may be on the property
  • Two most recent pay stubs
  • Proof of homeowners insurance

Additional documentation may be required if you’re self-employed.

It typically takes 30-45 days to close on a new equity loan or line of credit once we receive your completed application and necessary documentation. If an appraisal or additional documentation is needed, processing times may vary.
